We pride ourselves on the quality and freshness of all our ingredients and our suppliers have been working with for many years. The choice variety of tastes is always carefully overseen and prepared by our team of cooks under the leadership of chef Marcel Onder.
The hotel restaurant has two faces throughout the day. At lunch time, there is a typical mountain-resort style self-service buffet, which is popular with hotel guests as well as tourists. Our chefs will prepare your meal right in front of you and your biggest delay will be the choice of food from our wide range of items. You'll have your lunch ready before you take your seat. We always offer at least twelve main dishes of Czech cuisine, including lighter dishes for vegetarians and sweet food lovers.
Soup is the basis of a good meal, and that applies in Šumava as well. That is why we always have a selection of hearty soups ready, headlined by our renowned beef broth.
Our diner menu features both classic and modern Czech cuisine. In the evening, the restaurant becomes more tranquil and offers an exceptional atmosphere. After an active day, you can enjoy a candlelit dinner and choose a delicious meal from our menu. There is also a wide selection of wines, mostly from Czech and Moravian vineyards, draft Pilsner beer or our local spring water Ranklovka.
In the mountains especially, a good breakfast is the essential start to every day. The breakfasts at our hotel will provide not only nourishment, but leave you with many fond memories. We choose the best from local suppliers, from pastries, meats to seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables. Our delicious coffee, whose aroma pervades the entire restaurant, provides the perfect accompaniment to selection of homemade desserts or a hearty breakfast of a variety of cereals and other healthy foods.
